Introduction

These General Terms govern access to and use of the Global Legal Chronicle website (hereinafter: “GLC”) available at: france.globallegalchronicle.com.

Global Legal Chronicle (GLC) is an international network of legal publications that analyzes M&A transactions, financings, and litigation across major global markets (USA, UK, EU, Latin America, Asia). Founded in 2013 and published by More Legal Srl, the GLC publications offer in‑depth and detailed coverage of significant legal, financial, and corporate transactions in both domestic and international markets.

GLC provides timely updates and authoritative analysis on mergers and acquisitions, financings, litigation, and regulatory developments, serving industry professionals, companies, and investors with high‑quality information and reliable sources.

Activities and Target Audience

The editorial team of Global Legal Chronicle monitors and analyzes the most significant legal and financial transactions in both the Italian and international markets. All areas of law are covered, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, structured finance, corporate law, litigation, and regulatory updates.

The platform also features a dedicated section for Lateral Hires and another for Legal Opinions and in‑depth analyses authored by industry professionals.

GLC’s readership is broad and diverse, consisting of lawyers, law firms, companies, financial advisors, and investors, all of whom value the opportunity to access specialized, up‑to‑date content.

Nature of the Information

All information published on GLC is public in nature and derives from accessible sources, such as official press releases, court rulings, and judicial decisions.

The GLC editorial team carries out journalistic activities in accordance with the principles of accuracy, impartiality, and transparency, in compliance with the journalists’ code of ethics and applicable laws governing information.

Each piece of content undergoes editorial review and is prepared by contributors with expertise in law, economics, and legal journalism.

Traceability

Access to the Global Legal Chronicle website is free of charge, subject to Registration through the GLC portal by providing a valid and active email address.

Each access is tracked in order to allow the modification, correction, or removal of editorial data and specific information.

Subscriptions and Plans

The Global Legal Chronicle website offers two types of access:

FREE or EXPLORER:

  • access upon registration with an active email address;
  • free consultation of editorial content relating to in&out, Background, Legal Opinion, Study and Research.

PAY or INSIDER:

  • access upon registration and subscription;
  • consultation of all editorial content relating to in&out, Background, Legal Opinion, Study and Research;
  • consultation of all editorial content relating to transactions, litigation, and regulatory matters analyzed by the More Legal Research Center;
  • tracking of transactions through tagging of professionals, law firms, and clients;
  • consultation of the full “history” of publications concerning transactions and legal matters connected to each professional, law firm, or client;
  • direct access to the original text of judgments and decisions linked to each article;
  • reproduction and distribution of content in compliance with the conditions set out in Section 6 of this document.

The subscription fees are

  • €9.99 per month – valid for 30 days from the date of payment
  • €99.99 per year – valid for 12 months (365 days) from the date of payment

The subscription renews automatically at the end of the subscription period unless cancellation is communicated within 48 hours prior to automatic renewal, using the procedure available at the following link: https://france.globallegalchronicle.com/membership-account/membership-cancel/

Upon completion of the subscription process, a personal Username and Password are generated to access the INSIDER section of Global Legal Chronicle.

Data Processing and Use of Information

GLC guarantees the confidentiality of any sensitive information that may be processed.

Users who are authorized to access restricted content are prohibited from disclosing, copying, distributing, or reproducing such content, even partially, without prior authorization issued by More Legal. Any modification, manipulation, or alteration of the published content is likewise prohibited. Any violation will be prosecuted in accordance with applicable law.

All content published on GLC is protected by copyright, as it constitutes the intellectual work of the editorial team during the review and publication process.

Privacy Protection

GLC processes users’ personal data in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”). The data collected are used exclusively for editorial, statistical, and access‑management purposes.

Processing is carried out by authorized personnel in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, data minimization, and security. Advertising Policy

Advertising content published on the website is clearly identifiable and does not in any way influence the editorial independence of the publication. The management of advertising spaces is carried out in compliance with applicable laws and industry best practices.

Termination and Legal Actions

In the event of a breach of these General Terms or of applicable law, GLC reserves the right to suspend access, terminate the agreement, and take appropriate legal action.
