Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (“General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR”)
Dear User, we wish to inform you that Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter, the “Regulation”) and the related Italian implementing legislation establish rules concerning the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and safeguard the fundamental rights and freedoms of natural persons, in particular the right to personal data protection. Pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of the Regulation, we hereby inform you of the methods and purposes for which More Legal S.r.l., as data controller, will process your personal data.
Please read this privacy notice carefully before providing us with any personal data concerning you or, where required, giving consent to its processing. This privacy notice concerns the processing of personal data of users who browse the websites www.morelegal.com and www.globallegalchronicle.com (hereinafter, jointly, the “Websites”) and/or register on them.

If you register on the Websites, your data will also be processed:
- to allow registration and use of the Websites, provide technical assistance, enable publication of comments, and perform pre‑contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- to comply with legal obligations in case of sale of goods/services (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR);
- to pursue our legitimate interest in exercising or defending legal claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
With your optional consent, your data may also be processed for marketing purposes and/or for sending newsletters.
Newsletter
More Legal and Global Legal Chronicle each have newsletters relating to their respective Websites. If you request to subscribe to our newsletters, we will process your personal data in order to send you our newsletters, which contain predominantly editorial content as well as information regarding events, publications, initiatives, products and services offered by our company or by third parties (Art. 6, para. 1, lett. b of the Regulation). Your request to receive the newsletters may be withdrawn by you at any time by contacting us using the methods indicated in paragraph 8, in which case we will immediately stop sending you the newsletters. You may also cancel your subscription by clicking on the unsubscribe (opt‑out) link included in each newsletter email. Subscription to the newsletters is free and optional, and if you choose not to subscribe, you will not suffer any adverse consequences.
Processing of Data for Marketing Purposes
With your optional consent (Art. 6, para. 1, lett. a) of the Regulation), which may be expressed by selecting the relevant consent checkbox on the Website, we will process your personal data for marketing purposes (direct sales, sending of advertising material, market research, commercial communication, customer satisfaction surveys) and for sending advertising information, offers and promotions relating to our products and services by mail, email and/or SMS/MMS.
If you do not consent to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes, your ability to browse the Websites, register on the Websites and/or use the Services provided through the Websites will not be affected in any way, nor will you suffer any adverse consequences.
You may in any case freely and at no cost withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes at any time, including selectively (for example, by informing us that you no longer wish to receive communications by email while still wishing to receive communications through other contact methods), by submitting a request using the procedures indicated in paragraph 15 below. Methods of Data Processing and Retention Period
The processing of your personal data will be carried out using automated and non‑automated tools, applying logics strictly related to the purposes themselves and, in any case, in such a way as to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data.
If you have contacted us via email and/or through one of the contact forms available on the Website to request information regarding the Websites and the services offered therein, your data will be retained for 14 days from the day we provide you with the requested information, unless further retention is necessary to comply with legal obligations.
Your data collected during the registration process on the Websites will be retained for as long as your account remains active, unless retention is required to comply with legal obligations.
Data processed for the performance of a contract and for compliance with tax and consumer‑protection obligations will be retained for a period of 10 years from the date the contract was concluded or from the date of any event interrupting the limitation period.
If you have consented to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes, your personal data will be retained until you withdraw your consent, unless retention is still necessary for other purposes.
Where required for the use of certain IT services, we may transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, the transfer will take place in compliance with the provisions of the Regulation.
Access to the Data Subject’s Personal Data
Your personal data may be accessed by our employees and collaborators who are responsible for managing and maintaining the Website, processing orders placed through the Website, and providing assistance to customers and potential customers. If you have consented to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes, your data may also be accessed by our employees and collaborators involved in marketing campaigns.
Your personal data may also be accessed by the following categories of entities, which, as data processors, provide services instrumental to the performance of our activities: IT service providers; management service providers; administrative service providers; external professionals and consultants; external auditing firms, where applicable; payment gateways; third parties providing advertising and marketing services; entities responsible for sending documentation and/or informational and/or advertising material.
Your data may be communicated to banks, payment institutions and other payment intermediaries, insofar as this is necessary to receive a payment from you or to make a payment in your favor. Where required by law, your personal data relating to a purchase made on the Websites may be communicated to the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate). Your data may also be communicated to the Judicial Authority upon request, in cases provided for by law.

If you do not consent to the communication of your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes, your ability to browse the Websites and/or register on the Websites will not be affected in any way, nor will you suffer any adverse consequences. You may in any case freely and at no cost withdraw your consent to the communication of your personal data to third parties at any time, by submitting a request using the procedures indicated in paragraph 8 below.
Rights of the Data Subject
You may exercise at any time, free of charge and without formalities, the following rights provided for in Articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation: the right to request access to your personal data (i.e., the right to obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed and, where that is the case, to obtain access to the personal data, receiving a copy thereof, as well as the information referred to in Article 15 of the Regulation); the right to rectification (i.e., the right to obtain the correction of inaccurate data concerning you or the completion of incomplete data); the right to erasure (i.e., the right to obtain the deletion of data concerning you where one of the grounds set out in Article 17 of the Regulation applies); the right to restriction of processing (i.e., the right to obtain, in the cases provided for in Article 18 of the Regulation, the marking of stored data with the aim of limiting their future processing); as well as the right to data portability (i.e., the right, in the cases provided for in Article 20 of the Regulation, to receive from us, in a structured, commonly used and machine‑readable format, the personal data concerning you, and to transmit those data to another controller without hindrance).
You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. We remind you that you always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the Supervisory Authority of the EU Member State where you reside or work.
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning you pursuant to Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the Regulation. Where personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you carried out for such purposes.
